Square Enix took its time, but at The Game Awards on Thursday, it finally revealed Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC. And it’ll be available on the Epic Games Store on December 16th.
The enhanced version of Square’s famous role-playing game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, will be released on PC next week. At The Game Awards on Thursday, Square Enix revealed a Windows PC version, which would be available on the Epic Games Store on December 16. The price of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade for PC is $69.99, which is the same as the PlayStation 5 version, but a price that many PC players aren’t used to paying (yet).
In the past, PC players have received a $10 discount on new titles. During the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console generations, when new AAA console games went from $49.99 to $59.99, PC games stayed around the $50 level for a while.

When Activision, 2K Games, and Sony Interactive Entertainment raised the price of their new-generation games to $69.99 last year, their PC counterparts stayed at $59.99.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on the Epic Games Store and Forspoken on Steam, both priced at $69.99, appear to indicate that Square Enix is now comfortable trying out pricing parity with new-gen consoles on PC. (Forspoken will also be available as part of a $94.99 Digital Deluxe package.)

Online forums have reacted negatively to the prices of both games, although budget-conscious PC gamers may likely wait for a voucher from the Epic Games Store or, in the case of Forspoken, a Steam discount to get in.
